How does it work and where does the data come from?

Our platform harnesses the power of machine learning to provide up-to-date information on UK manufacturers. We combine publicly accessible data with web scraping to create the single most data-rich source of UK's manufacturers and suppliers. We also allow companies to claim their company profile to update and enrich their content.

We keep the Companies House as our reference and we join information coming from companies' websites, CreditSafe, and Dealroom. Additionally, we take measures to prevent URL mismatch errors.

We are confident that the majority of our data is accurate but please let us know if you find any errors and we can correct them.

Who we are

The UK Supply Chain Directory is aiming to establish a national directory of UK-based manufacturing capabilities cross-industry and cross-supply chain via a combination of web-scraped and user generated content. This platform has been developed as part of the Made Smarter Innovation | Digital Supply Chain Hub and it is delivered by the HVM Catapult and The Data City.
